Sisters for the Soul!

As soon as you see these great pics of my sister and brother you will know why I think they are so cool! Anyone that has a sister knows that sometimes you just need her. I have the best husband in the world because he could tell I needed her and offered to watch our little guy while I went to see Jilla!
My visit was so amazing. My sister is a hero to me. She has always been an example to me and makes me a better person. Everyday I think of her I am in awe of her strength, faith, and her abilities to be kind to everyone she knows. She reminds me of my grandma so much because she puts everyone before her. She is such a good wife too. After being with her she inspired me to be a better wife to my husband and to not be so selfish.
While in town with Jilla I got to see her world for a few days and it was so much fun. We were superwoman at the Y, shopped around, ate cookies and burritos, took naps, laughed, cried and played Rock Band! It was so great to meet the Saturday playgroups and feel so included. It was great to see my brother again, although I barely recognized him because he is so svelte and healthy. Thanks Chris for sharing your wife with me! I had a great weekend and was recouped to come home to my wonderful family. Thanks babe for being such a good Daddy!

The Museum

While we were in Minnesota on our last day there we went to the Children's Museum. This was my favorite place by far! It was amazing and had four floors of little people stimulation. I really didn't take a lot of pictures because Daddy and I were playing right along with Colton. We were all ant's in the ant maze, chefs or patrons at the restaurant, and so much more.
Coltons favorite area was the Industrial area. They had building blocks and cranes, hard hats, make your own paper that kind of stuff, but best of all was the water works station. He could have played there until he fell over asleep. They had boats with several types of damns and such and a PVC pipe with water and ping pong balls. So you have water and balls, Colton's two most favorite things in the world! He was so set.
At the very end of the trip Daddy helped Colton become a Lion! He was very ferocious and ready for a nap! If I win the Lottery I am going to donate to a Boise Children's Museum. It was so neat.

Wee Wee

Mamaw planned to take us to the zoo and she invited her niece Breanna. She is in the picture with us and was the sweetest most care free little girl. If I have a little girl I want her to be like Breanna because she was so much fun with us at the zoo.

Here is Colton at the Tigers Lair! This zoo was incredible. It had so many animals and on top of that they work to put them in their natural habitat. So when we went to see the flamingos they were in the tropical jungle, it was hot, humid, and had a canopy of trees. Daddy and I broke a sweat in there. Then we went outside to find the Tigers. Daddy and I were both Bengal Tigers in College so is was neat to see one so close. This guy was pacing back and forth and thought Colton would be a fun chew toy. I couldn't believe how big his paws were. Yikes!

Then we went to the farm to see all the babies. Yup, there was a full on barn with the farm, baby pigs, sheep, cows, all very cute. When we were riding on the tractor below we got to see a baby cow be hand fed by the zoo keeper. That calf liked milk as much as Colton does.

I loved the Dolphins at the zoo but I think Daddies favorite thing was hearing Colton make all of the animal sounds. When we were in the bat cave he was screeching, I was worried he was scared but Daddy reassured me that he was making the bat sounds and sure enough he was. I started to pay more attention and at each exhibit Colton had a little chat with the animals. He loved it! Thank you Mamaw and Papa for taking us too the zoo.

The Dolphin Training Show

At the Minnesota Zoo we arrived just in time to watch the Dolphin Training Show. Colton has fish at home so he kind of understood the concept of the fish in the tank. These fish did amazing tricks, talked and to Colton's delight played with and dribbled balls. Oh he was in love! Mommy however was in awe herself. I could have watched those fish for a long time. In fact when I retire from doing ultrasounds I am going to become a Dolphin trainer. I have found my new dream job.

Wee!

One of the things I love about Minnesota is there public parks. This one is just down the road from Mamaw's and it has a basketball hoop, ice skating rink, walking trails and a great play structure!

Slide

I tried to talk Colton into going down the not so scary slide but he insisted on going on the scary one and head first as usual! The best part is his tounge hanging out at the end. I could have watched him slide forever!

Lego Land

This is Lego Land! It was in the Mall of America in Minnesota. Daddy loved legos as a child so he loved to see all of the life size models and Colton loved all of the kids that were there to play with him! I loved this store too. They had bulk legos there so if you were missing just the one part you get buy just the one part. Very neat.

Colton loved lego land! They had a table just his size and there were other kids playing that were just his size.

Mall Of America MN

For spring break we got to go visit Mamaw and Papa in Minnesota. The first thing we did was take a nap because the plane ride wiped us out. Then we were ready to go to the Mall and see the amusement park inside. It was very neat and Colton was in awe! The first ride he tried was Big Rigs with Papa. He loved it and felt like such a big boy on the big truck.
Then he went on a balloon ride with Mamaw, he enjoyed the "balls" the most in this ride.

There were several more rides he went on and loved them all. It was so cute to see him experience the thrill of the riding the rides.

Easter Dinner

This year Easter Dinner was at our house! The best part about it was that Grandpa and Grandma made Easter Dinner for us! And put on another hunt for Kashus and Colton. We had a wonderful dinner with everyone and the best part is that when Grandpa cooks there is always a lot of left overs! Thanks for Dinner family.

Hang on Big Boy

Of course Daddy picked the scariest ride to take Colton on. Mommy enjoyed watching Daddy try to fit in the little car, good job Dada!

Hippity Hoppity Easter Morning is here

Easter morning was very exciting at the Deatherage house. Basketball eggs... what a smart bunny, Colton loved them.


The Easter Bunny was very thoughtful and we had a wonderful morning.

The Eggstravganza!

Every year the Eagle Nazarene Church puts on an Easter Celebration. They do a great job and there is always plenty for everyone do to. Colton LOVED the pony ride.

Easter Playdate

Colton and his friends Brenan, Dillon, Ethan, and Kenley got together to have some Easter fun. We had a yummy lunch, decorated Easter baskets and then the hunt was on!

Vroom Vroom!

My neighbors growing up had these cars and we loved them. For Christmas my Mom wanted to get one for Colton and I begged her to get the slide. Well our little neighbor had one and Colton loved it so much we traded the wagon for the car. When the excitment wears off we will trade back. Sorry Mom.
