Christmas Eve! 12.24.2012
For Christmas Eve I make my family (Brian) suffer through several timed shots until we get a MOMMY approved family picture. Really I love the collection of them just as much as I love the perfect one. I love that I get to capture a moment in time.
A present for mom... 12.24.2012
Sweet Colton made a present for me by himself and wrapped it by himself. He was so excited about it I picked it for the present I open on Christmas eve. Be still my heart. This mommy gig is the best!
First Ski Trip of the Year! 12.2012
Look at all these little skiers! The excitement started at the ski swap we hit in November. Jace, Jillian and Colton all got to pick helmets and ski goggles. That night Jace almost slept in his helmet. They would play around the house in their helmets pretending they were skiing. Then finally the day came and we got to rent some skis. Jace was so motivated he was putting on every ski boot he could find at the rental shop. I thought without a doubt he would be flying down the mountain in no time! He got out of the car with a big grin, I got his mittens on, boots on... snapped a picture with the big grin. He took one more step and saw the ski hill and that was it for Jace's Skiing debut. He was content in the car the rest of the day. Jillian was suited up by Daddy and she loved how she looked in all her ski gear! She was content making snow angles and throwing snowballs at any of her boys that came close. She didn't even get her skis on. Colton looked good in his skis and he put them on and used them too! It was a great day!
Hockey Night 12.23.12
We are so lucky to have great friends that give us there extra Hockey tickets! We were on row 9 and it was very exciting. When the big guys would get thrown up on the glass it would make a BIG CRASHING sound and scare me every time. When the Steelheads would score the lights would go on and off and the sirens would blare and then after all the racket the crowd yells "HE Shoots! HE Scores! Hey goalie you Suck! (or stink of the kids are around)" At first the loud noises scared the kids but by the end of the game they were cheering and yelling and carrying on with the rest of the hockey crazies!
CLC Christmas Program 12.22.12
Jace and Jillian worked so hard practicing there songs for the Christ Lutheren Christmas Program. Jace was a Donkey for the Manger scene and Jillian got to stand by Jace to help her have courage throughout the performance. Jace sang his little heart out and wasn't phased by the adoring parents watching him. Jillian made it through (which surprised Mom, I thought she would sit with me) It just took her brother Jace and a little hair twirling to make it through the performance. Mommy was so proud of both of our little babes in the Christmas Program.
