2013-07-04 Family Vacation to Oregon Coast Fireworks!

Our first night in the beach house was wonderful!  Jillian woke up early so her and I snuck out to the ocean and did some seashell hunting.  We found some great shells and rocks.  We made it back in time to fix our boys some french toast for Breakfast (Jace's favorite), and then have a calm, relaxing lazy morning. That evening we drove around and spotted some things to do.  Then after dinner we found a spot for the fireworks show over the bay.  It was so pretty and they fireworks went on forever. I love the fourth of July and honoring America on it's birthday.

2013-07-03 Family Vacation to the Oregon Coast Multnomah Falls

We made a last minute decision to take a vacation to the Oregon Coast for the fourth of July.  In the midst of summer chaos, I was craving some down time, by the Ocean.  It only took me mentioning it once and Brian was on it.  He made a reservation for a beach house near Cannon Beach, we packed our bags, and hit the road.  I love the drive to Oregon.  It is a little brown and dry but as soon as you hit the Columbia River it is gorgeous.  On the way, I love to stop at Multnomah falls.  It is a great hike to a beautiful waterfall.  Along the way we found pretty flowers and a giant slug. Scout even enjoyed the view of the waterfall.

Emily's work behind a lens is phenomenal!  I love spending an afternoon with her because she creates life long treasures for me.  The kids are so comfortable with her.  She captures their genuine smiles.  I feel like I can see their personalities in these pictures.  To me, it is like she captured a little moment in time.
