Hockey Night 12.23.12

We are so lucky to have great friends that give us there extra Hockey tickets!  We were on row 9 and it was very exciting.  When the big guys would get thrown up on the glass it would make a BIG CRASHING sound and scare me every time.  When the Steelheads would score the lights would go on and off and the sirens would blare and then after all the racket the crowd yells "HE Shoots! HE Scores! Hey goalie you Suck! (or stink of the kids are around)"  At first the loud noises scared the kids but by the end of the game they were cheering and yelling and carrying on with the rest of the hockey crazies!

CLC Christmas Program 12.22.12

Jace and Jillian worked so hard practicing there songs for the Christ Lutheren Christmas Program.  Jace was a Donkey for the Manger scene and Jillian got to stand by Jace to help her have courage throughout the performance.  Jace sang his little heart out and wasn't phased by the adoring parents watching him.  Jillian made it through (which surprised Mom, I thought she would sit with me)  It just took her brother Jace and a little hair twirling to make it through the performance.  Mommy was so proud of both of our little babes in the Christmas Program.

Karate Testing 12.19.12

Karate testing!  Jace was very excited for his camo belt, and had a chance to see what "black belt" power felt like.  He loves karate and he feels a little invincible because of it... which could be a bad or good thing? Colton moved up too and did great sparing.  Jillian was a great sister watching her brothers again. She is a little champ and does so well entertaining herself and being patient. Posted by Picasa

Ginergerbread Houses!

Since honesty is the best policy.  I LOVE making candy houses.  We always did it as kids and then as soon as my mom started teaching we always helped in her classroom when she did it with her kids she taught.  Before I had my kiddos I used to make my girlfriends build candy houses with me.  So now I get to include my kids and as many other kids as I can find to come hang out and build some creations.  We do snack a bit too.  This year Colton made a man fishing with a pole near a pond.  It was very cute.  Talon put a lot of time in on his house and had every bit of it covered by the end of the night.  It is so fun to watch the houses evolve as all the kiddos get bigger.

Salt dough ornaments!  Just like play dough!  The kids loved it and I managed to sneak one little hand print ornament from each of them.  I hope this salt dough will last forever!Posted by Picasa
